FAQ

1. What is a "halfbody" / "fullbody"?

These terms refer to how much of the character is visible in the frame. A halfbody typically cuts off below the waist, while a fullbody depicts the character's entire body.

2. How many slots are open / when will you open again?

I usually work on 5-7 commissions in a 2-month period, and will announce another opening the following month. However, if you happen to notice that my Trello to-do list is empty or dwindling, you're welcome to ask if I'm available for work, regardless if my commissions are "closed" or not!

3. What will I receive?

All commissioners receive an unwatermarked PNG file (set at 300 DPI for ease of printing). As for canvas dimensions, you are welcome to request a custom size, but I usually draw at the following sizes:

  • Icons, chibis: 8 x 8 in

  • Halfbodies, fullbodies: 8.5 x 11 in

  • Scenes, reference sheets: 16 x 9 in

4. What is your revision policy?

You're welcome to request small revisions at any point in the process, however I highly encourage you to study the preliminary sketch closely in case you'd like anything changed! The earlier we address any errors, the better. The general rule is that, as long as the commissioner is polite, revisions are welcome without limit. If excessive major changes are requested, however, I may request a small fee to continue.

A good practice when requesting changes is to also suggest something in the same message. For example: "I don't like the blue background." VS. "Could we change the blue background to orange instead?"

5. How do payment plans work?

In your PayPal invoice, the "partial payment" option will be enabled, allowing you to open the invoice and input payment multiple times, and at any time you'd like. The invoice will also show any due dates we decide on.
